About VibeMap
Specs before code. Every time.
VibeMap is an AI product specification generator. We turn a plain-English idea into a complete, linked blueprint — personas, user stories, acceptance criteria, schema, and page inventory — in under 30 minutes.
What VibeMap does
VibeMap is an AI-powered product specification generator. Users describe a product idea in plain English. VibeMap runs a multi-step pipeline that produces a complete, interconnected spec: project summary, personas, features, user stories with acceptance criteria, pages and UI components, a relational database schema, and a file structure with pseudocode. Each step receives full context from prior steps, so the output is coherent rather than a pile of disconnected AI responses.
VibeMap is positioned upstream of task trackers (Linear, Jira) and upstream of code generators (Cursor, Copilot, Bolt). Linear and Jira manage the backlog VibeMap creates. Cursor and Bolt write code against the spec VibeMap produces. No direct competitor owns the full idea-to-blueprint pipeline.
Who VibeMap is for
- Solo product managers writing specs without a team
- Indie hackers shipping side projects fast
- Technical founders scoping before engineering handoff
- Small engineering teams (2–10 people) that need a shared source of truth
- Agencies and freelancers producing client proposals
Why we built it
The 2024–2026 wave of AI code generators — Cursor, Bolt, Lovable, v0 — made it trivial to turn a prompt into running code. It also made it trivial to ship inconsistent, duplicated, un-testable software. The bottleneck moved upstream: teams now need structured product thinking faster than ever, because code ships faster than ever. VibeMap is the planning layer that matches the speed of modern AI coding tools.
Founder
VibeMap is built by Ash Metwalli, a product-focused engineer who spent a decade watching engineering teams re-derive the same product decisions from scratch on every new project. VibeMap codifies that missing planning step into an AI-native pipeline.
How VibeMap is built
VibeMap is multi-LLM by design — the pipeline routes each generation step to the best-suited provider (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Google Gemini). Long-running work runs on Inngest, real-time streaming on Pusher and Supabase, and the product ships as a published MCP server (@vibemap.ai/mcp-server) so Claude Desktop, Cursor, and other MCP-aware clients can invoke the pipeline directly.
